How to make sure that my screenshots are going to desktop folder?

If you are not able to find your screenshots on your Desktop folder, you can follow the following steps to make sure they are saved to Desktop.

• Launch your Terminal
• At the prompt, please copy and paste this command:

defaults write com.apple.screencapture location ~/Desktop/

• Press Return.
• Then copy and paste the following command:

killall SystemUIServer

• Then Press Return.

The above steps should ensure that your screenshots are being saved on your Desktop Folder.
